Dr Luke Bode

Dr Luke was born and raised on the beautiful Gold Coast. After graduating from A.B. Patterson College, he completed his dental studies at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Dean’s commendation for high achievement. He stubbornly refused to move to Brisbane for the five year long degree, and in making the long daily commute by train, he met his future wife Dr Sarah!

After a happy few years working in a busy country practice in Warwick and Stanthorpe, Dr Luke has returned home to Broadbeach, where he has been dedicated to looking after his patients for 8 years.

Dr Luke has a truly gentle and kind nature , he believes in looking after people first and foremost and will always take the time to get to know you and your individual case.  This genuine care and empathy coupled with an excellent clinical ethos and commitment to the highest standards of quality has earned him a reputation as one of the most popular dentists on the Gold Coast. Dr Luke is skilled in all aspects of general dentistry, and provides his patients with all options from a simple check-up and clean to complex root canal treatment and cosmetic work. The biggest reward in dentistry is for him is to see his patients return happy and healthy, and he feels very privileged to often be taking care of as many as 3 generations of a single family!

Outside of dentistry, Dr Luke enjoys spending time with his young family, and is known to be quite competitive when it comes to boardgames with friends!

Dr Sarah Zhao

Dr Sarah Zhao grew up on the Gold Coast before pursuing her dental studies at the University of Queensland.  She graduated with first class honours, and over 10 special awards (just about all of them it seems!), including the prestigious University Medal for Dentistry.

University is also where she met Dr Luke Bode.  Fast forward 15 years- they are now married with their first little one on the way, sure to keep them on their toes!

Coupled with this clear commitment to knowledge, technical and academic excellence, Dr Sarah has gained a reputation for being one of the most caring and gentle dentists around.  After a rewarding few years practicing in the country with Dr Luke, she returned to the Gold Coast and has practiced at Galleon Way Dental Surgery in Currumbin for the past 7 years, gaining a loyal following of patients.

Dr Sarah’s calm, empathetic and caring approach is appreciated by all of her patients, especially children, and the dentally anxious.  She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but finds it particularly rewarding to see children and their families grow up, working through dental anxieties  to achieve a healthy mouth, and has a particular flair for minimally invasive cosmetic cases including composite and porcelain veneers.

Outside of dentistry, Dr Sarah loves to keep her (very small) hands busy- playing the piano, painting, origami and all things artistic!

Dr Roland Stettler

After working around the world, we are fortunate that Dr Roland Stettler as chosen the Gold Coast for his home, and has now been a part of Broadbeach Dental Practice for 8 years.

Originally from Switzerland, Dr Stettler worked as a dental technician, constructing crowns, bridges and dentures for 20 years. This vast first-hand experience in physically constructing the work he now fits has provided him with a rare, unique and valuable perspective as a dentist.

Pursuing a job opportunity he moved to New Zealand and worked in Auckland as a Dental Technician before he decided to study Dentistry at the University of Otago in Dunedin. After 10 years in New Zealand Roland decided to make Australia his new home and moved to Queensland, where he worked in Gladstone and Brisbane before finally arriving at the Gold Coast.

Dr Roland enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. He is a gentle and caring dentist and brings passion, knowledge and genuine lifelong interest to the practice.

Outside of Dentistry Roland enjoys travelling and Aikido, a martial art he has been practicing for over 30 years.

Dr Jonathan Zhao

Dr Jonathan Zhao grew up on the Gold Coast, where he attended Somerset College. Following in the family theme, he decided to join his sister Dr Sarah and brother-in-law Dr Luke in pursuing Dentistry, graduating from the University of Queensland with honours, topping the subject of prosthodontics (crown and bridge work).

After working in private practice in Caboolture and Northern Brisbane, Jonathan has returned home to the Gold Coast. As the newest dentist to join the Broadbeach Dental family, he brings a warm and open manner as well as a fresh and keen enthusiasm for dentistry. He has already gained some fans here, and is appreciated for his patience and thoroughness. He enjoys the variety of general dentistry, and is especially loved by children.

Outside of dentistry, Jonathan is an excellent classical violinist, having achieved his A.mus.A, he enjoys teaching a handful of students and sharing his passion for music. Fortunately for his friends and family, he is also quite the chef, and we often get to enjoy the fruits of his gourmet pursuits.

Jonathan will always take the time to explain what he is doing and answer any questions you may have with genuine interest and care. If you are lucky, you might get a recipe thrown in too!
